On Wednesday, January 14, IAVA's Director of Government Affairs Todd Bowers will be live-blogging the confirmation hearings of General Eric Shinseki as the new Secretary of the VA.

Todd served two tours in Iraq as a Civil Affairs Team Sergeant with the United States Marine Corps, and was awarded the Purple Heart and Navy Commendation medal with “V” device for Valor. As a wounded veteran, he has a unique perspective on this hearing.
