Deadline to apply - EXTENDED: October 21, 2011

Congress has passed legislation to compensate servicemembers who were stop-lossed after September 11, 2001. IAVA has been fighting for this provision for over a year, and now the deadline to apply for payments has been extended to October 21, 2011.

Application Instructions

• 1. Have a copy of your DD-214 and your DD-4 (enlistment contract) easily accessible.
• 2. Go to www.defense.gov/stoploss.
• 3. Find the link for your branch at the top right of the site and follow the instructions.
